But she woke up very excited to see Mimi, Granddaddy, Aunt Katie, Papa, and Gee Gee. Avery basically spent the whole rest of the week herding/feeding ducks in Mimi's back yard.

She and Katie chased the ducks.
She and Mimi fed the ducks.
Granddad was in charge of herding Avery
I even got out there and watched a few ducks myself.
Avery was just happy to be outside and away from the snowy weather- she could have run around out there 24 hours a day.
She did take a little break to sit with Granddad.
And to pose for a picture with Aunt Katie.
Her other favorite activity was to chase the seagulls on the bridge.

It was hilarious to watch her sprint up and down yelling "SHOO SHOO"!

It wasn't quite warm enough for a swimsuit but Avery had a blast playing in the sand.
And she really loved getting her feet in the water- I think she would have swam right in if we had let her.
It was a great trip- a nice break from the cold weather and so fun to hang with the grandparents.
Here they are together- Avery certainly didn't lack any attention this week =)
Here was her reaction when we told her it was time to come home: "No No No!!"
We look forward to many more trips to the beach!
