Easter, cont.

We had a wonderful Easter weekend!

Avery and Kaitlyn attended their first official easter egg hunt- here they are comparing baskets before "kickoff"

Ready... go! Ohh.... shoot... the big kids and their PARENTS grabbed all the eggs! Avery ran around the field and never got to an egg in time before someone else scooped it up. I should have known to bring some in my pocket! This was her expression:

That's ok! Daddy had hidden some eggs in the backyard when we got home so it was super fun to find ALL of those! Good thinkin' Dave!It warmed up a bit that afternoon so we decided to introduce Avery to college football. We went to the spring scrimmage game here at the Michigan stadium.

She was really very intrigued by the game and sat with Dave clapping the whole time. I see some fun football seasons in our future =)

The day was also super fun because Avery's best buddy Chris came with us. Avery is very attached to her "Ciss."

On Easter morning, of course the Easter Bunny had hidden eggs for Miss Avery and she had a blast finding them all in the living room and playing with her new toys.

The best part was discovering, unlike the eggs on all of our practice runs, these had CANDY inside. Whoo hoo!

Want some Dad?

Here is a pic before church with her baby doll in their matching Easter dresses.

We found that we didn't even need to hide the eggs- we just kept the basket beside us and tossed a bunch of eggs all around when the girls weren't looking. When they brought the eggs to the basket, we would toss them out again. They would have played that game all day and we were a big hit with all of the folks walking through the Diag.
Family pic. Happy Easter!
