Here's our slideshow timeline for the last month:
We left you with Dave's parents coming for the chief's dinner. The next weekend, my Mom came to help babysit while we had a busy weekend of parties, a wedding, and a good-bye backyard cookout. Avery and her beloved Mimi spent much of the weekend playing outside and learning to blow bubbles. Here is a bit of their bubble lesson and a final triumph.

Sunday we hosted a backyard cookout for our friends, one last time at our beloved house.

Here is a group shot we try to take every year- this one is from summer 2006: (Anna, Jess, Lindsay, Katie, me)

Here we are in 2007:
and here we are in 2009: unfortunately Lindsay moved to D.C. and we forgot exactly which spots we were supposed to be in, but here we are none the less. The reason we look a bit more "mature" is that's we're all mommies now =)

I love and miss these girls so much, here I am crying as I post these pictures =(ANYWAY, Mom stayed a few more days as Dave went away to a golf tournament, so here are Avery and Mimi playing again.

Next comes Kaitlyn and Avery's last playdate. We went to the Domino Farms petting zoo, where Kaitlyn had a blast feeding the goats and Avery would have nothing to do with them. Oh well! In typical fashion, they started playing "tickle" so here are a couple of adorable pics.

It was so sad for Jess and me because we know the girls will hardly remember their friendship, though I know we'll stay in touch, it won't be the same =( We had them hug goodbye one last time as we were both bawling. Avery definitely misses Kaitlyn already, but we look at her blog every day!An almost equally hard goodbye that week was "Miss" Lauren, Avery's daycare lady. I HATE to leave Lauren and I know Avery will miss her dearly. Here they are together on her last day =(
That next day, I drove Avery down to Nashville in my car, met Mom there, and Mom took Avery back to Hickman. I left my car in our new subdivision, and I flew back up to Ann Arbor. That worked great for us so that Avery wouldn't be underfoot during the move, and Dave and I could ride down together in the same car once the movers took our stuff away.Avery had a blast in Hickman- here is a pic of her and Aunt Katie on the tractor. She hasn't stopped talking about tractors since!
Meanwhile, Dave and I spent the next few days hanging out with friends, packing up/cleaning the house, and saying good bye to our Michigan home. The movers packed our stuff in a mere 6 hours on June 29 and we were off on June 30. We drove down to Nashville on the 30th, picked up Avery from Mom and Dad on the 1st, and closed on our new house on the 2nd. For a little entertainment, we took Avery to the outdoor mall here in Hendersonville that has kid fountains in the middle. She LOVES it, and we have already been several times again since our initial visit.

Once we closed on the house, our stuff wasn't going to arrive until July 6th, so we headed to KY lake to our family cabin to spend the holiday weekend. Here is Avery chillin' on the boat.

Here is Avery with cousins (2 out of 4 of my cousin Sara's children), Hannah and Rachel. Avery thought they were awesome!!

Back in Tennessee, we closed on our house without incident and have been trying to get settled. Here is a pic of our new house, in case you're curious =)

Go Vols!

Aunt Katie has already come to visit! So fun! Avery and Katie are already big buddies. Here they are walking the wagon (thanks Nana and Daddy Jim!) around the neighborhood.

check out Baby Stella's "carseat" and how she's so lovingly covered up with "beets" (Avery's blankie)

Yall come and visit us soon!

Betsy! Your post made me cry, too. :) I miss you Morrises! Your new house looks BEAUTIFUL, and Avery is darling as always. So glad the move went well, though so sad you won't be around to visit when I'm in Ann Arbor! xoxo
