We joined the golf course this spring and Avery has had a blast riding around with Dave on the golf course. Luckily they seem to be fine with kids doing that as long as they don't cause any trouble =). It works great because Dave is happy playing golf, Avery is happy riding around outside, and Lucy and I are happy to have some alone time. Here are some pics of Avery before a round with Dave:

We had a wonderful Mother's Day yesterday, starting with church and then lunch at Fairvue where REBA MCENTIRE was also having lunch. Yay for celebrity sitings! I did not take her picture because of course everyone was being very non-chalant, or at least acting that way with a gleam in their eyes. She lives here in Gallatin so it's not too rare of an occurrence. She was beautiful of course- very tiny and looking very botoxed =)
Here is a picture of Avery and her buddy Addison playing around after we ate:
I feel so very blessed to have them, and I am grateful every single day that I am their mother. Being a mother of two young children is trying at times, but I really try not to get so bogged down in the day to day craziness that I don't appreciate my babies. I have been waiting for this my whole life and my days have never been so filled with joy, laughter, and good clean fun. I am also incredibly lucky to have a wonderful Mother of my own, and I thank her for showing me how to be a great parent. My parents always have, and still do, put the needs of their children before anything else in their lives and I only hope to be so selfless. I also have to shout out to a great mother-in-law and step mother-in-law too! Did I mention I'm a very lucky gal?!
Here we are hanging out in my new favorite spot- a comfy swivel glider reading books with my 2 cuties!
Oh and I also have to brag on Avery a bit for her new drawing skills. She loves to draw faces- happy ones, sad ones, & mad ones, with hair, crowns, ears, whiskers etc. depending on "who" she is making. She also can write the letter A. "A is for me!" she says! She below, using her favorite medium- sidewalk chalk.
