Here are some pictures from a few adventures that the girls and I had over the last several weeks =)
Photo shoot with sweet Lucy. She looked perfect at her two month checkup- 10lbs, 7oz, and 23 inches long. She is such a doll- smiles and coos a ton and is very tolerant of her big sister. She saves a special smile just for Avery. She started sleeping through the night a week or so ago- hopefully I am not jinxing it by typing it out online =) We are very blessed!
Please notice Avery in the BIG GIRL PANTIES!! After months of half-way trying to potty training Avery, I put the push on her a few weeks ago with NO SUCCESS. Then all of a sudden, on Sat, April 24th, (the day Dave ran the Country Music Marathon, I might add- way to go Dave) it seemed to click for Avery and she started using her potty!!! Whoo hoo! My baby Avery is a big girl now and Lord knows I need a few less diapers in my life these days =)
Trip to Hickman including Owen's birthday party at Aunt Carol and Uncle Glenn's. We had a blast hanging out with the fam, and Avery especially LOVED her tractor ride!

We (it was just me and the girls- Dave was on a "guys" golf trip in Crossville) headed back home on Saturday afternoon, since Nana and Daddy Jim came to visit on Sunday. Lucy was not exactly thrilled about riding in the car... I had to make 4 stops each way on my 3 hour trip. This may not seem too bad considering I have 2 babies in the car, but Avery is SUCH a laid back traveller, it was a real switch for me! Avery tried so hard to help- singing, shaking toys, trying the pacifier, but nothing really worked. Here is a clip when I just had to document what was going on around me. Avery had fallen asleep and Lucy started crying so after about 10 minutes the crying got to Avery and she was wailing in her sleep. I swear they were trying to out-wail each other. AHH!
Boy am I glad that we went ahead and left Sat afternoon, because the rain was pouring down on Nashville! It was raining on us in the car, and I was keeping a close eye on the red and yellow sections of the radar, but I didn't run into any road closures or major weather related problems on our drive. THEN on Sat night/Sunday Nashville started to flood! I know you've seen it all in the news, and our house is perfectly fine thank goodness, but it's pretty awful around town! Here is a pic from our front porch- the lake is always across the street, but is normally not that far up on the golf course.
And here is a picture of the pool at our club. The lake flooded the clubhouse, guest cottages, and the swimming pool- it's a mess! I just keep thinking about how THANKFUL I am that I didn't get caught in water on the road or in a bunch of traffic on Sat with cranky Lucy. Can you imagine?! Dave also made it home safe, and Nancy and Jim didn't run into trouble getting here. Someone was looking out for us that day! Please keep Nashville in your prayers!

The video of the wailing girls is pretty funny. We've watched it a few times. Jamie thinks Avery sounds like a pterodactyl. Glad you're safe from the flooding. Love the candid shots of the girls together! Let us know when you're headed west.
