Yay Nana!

Dave's Mom (Nana) came to visit this weekend- so fun! Avery warmed right up to her. I swear she gets a gut feeling when she's around her grandmothers and granddaddies and pals up with them right away. We played and played all weekend. Friday, I busted out Avery's $6.99 swimming pool since it hit the 90 degree mark.

She had lots of fun splashing:

Here is one of the adorable outfits that Nana made for Avery. She is such a talented seamstress- I need lessons!

The most hilarious part of the weekend is when Nana taught Avery some dance moves. Whenever her "ipod" played music, Avery would sway her shoulders and dance! Get this:

The swaying shoulders are my favorite. And it wasn't a fluke- she did it almost every time the music played this afternoon. Plus, it wasn't like she was smiling and dancing for the audience. She would be so serious, just dancing away by herself. HA. I feel like there will be more dance posts in the future. =)

Today is Nana's birthday! Happy Birthday Nancy!! We had a celebratory brunch at Cafe Zola when Dave got home from work this morning. Then this afternoon, we visited Zingerman's, the Ann Arbor tourist attraction deli. We're so honored that Nana came to play with us for her birthday and hope to see her again soon!

thanks for a great visit. I'm taking the puzzle when I visit Ms. Truan in the nursing home. She'll love it! The plane trip was a real mess, but I did get home!!! Thanks again for a great visit and a wonderful birthday! Ncy
