Memorial Day Weekend

Dave's home from the urology conference, and we've been spending the weekend hanging out, running errands, and enjoying the nice weather.

Thursday, Avery had her 9 month doctor's appointment and everything looked great. She is 28 3/4 inches long, which is the 90th percentile, and she weights 18 lbs, 10 ounces, which is the 50th percentile. These are the same percentages she's been all along- very tall! No wonder she's moving into the 12-18 month size clothes, otherwise all of her pants turn into capris =) The length limit on her infant car seat is 29 inches, but we changed her to the "big girl" convertible carseat a few weeks ago anyway.

Friday, Avery and I had a play date with Jess and Kaitlyn Bader. So fun! Avery and Kaitlyn were pretty interested in each other- they're both crawling, so they crawled around and played with their toys. Our jogging stroller holds two babies (um, no- no plans now for baby #2, we just don't want to have to buy another jogging stroller ever) so we thought it would be fun to see how they liked going for a ride side by side. Well... we got to see a little bit of the girls' personalities... Kaitlyn was happy-go-lucky and outgoing, wanting to pat on Avery, check out her hat, share paci's. Avery was like, um, don't mess with me, leave me alone. Boo hoo hoo, I don't want her touching me. Ha ha, looks like we have a little ticky princess on our hands. (Granted, Avery was tired, so I'm not too worried) This is about how things went:

Next time, we may let the girls each go in their own stoller =)

Yesterday, Dave and I pulled weeds, mowed, planted flowers, and the big project- mulched. It was so nice to have a big, strong, man to do the manual labor. =) Things are looking pretty good around the yard- yippee! After dinner, we had a mini photo session with Avery and her new favorite baby doll, here are a few pics:

Hope yall have a wonderful weekend!
